How do I apply to Umed Institute?

Visit our campus on Main Street Sulaimani, Tasluja, and speak with our admissions team. We prefer in-person applications to ensure all documents are complete. No online forms — just real conversations.

What documents do I need to apply?

You’ll need your original high school certificate (plus 2 copies), 4 passport-sized photos, a valid ID card (Civil ID or Passport), and a completed application form (filled at our office). Transfer students also need a transfer letter.

Is there an application fee?

Yes. There is a one-time, non-refundable application fee of 25,000 IQD.

What are the enrollment deadlines?

Fall enrollment: Oct 1 – Oct 15. Spring enrollment: Feb 1 – Feb 15. Applications are accepted during these periods.

We offer 6 departments: Information Technology, English & Translation, Medical Sciences, Law & Legal Studies, Engineering & Technology, and Education & Teaching.

How long are the programs?

All programs are 2-year diplomas (4 semesters).

Most courses are taught in English. Our English & Translation department offers preparatory courses for students who need to improve their language skills.

Can I transfer credits from another institute?

Yes. We accept transfer students. Please bring your official transcript and course syllabus to our admissions office for evaluation.
